Repeat prescriptions via the NHS App

You can manage repeat prescriptions from your GP surgery in the NHS App

You can easily choose where your prescriptions are sent. So,
if you know you’ll be away from home or you are moving home, you can change your nominated pharmacy from within the app.

You can also order your prescription at any time that suits you. There’s no need to wait to join a telephone queue or wait until the GP surgery opens.

It’s easy to use, and, if you hit a snag, you can go to ‘Help’ in the top right-hand corner of the app or visit nhs.uk/helpmeapp

Access your health records via the NHS App

People over the age of 16 can now access their GP health
record on the NHS App and nhs.uk. This includes consultation notes, letters and
test results.

During your next visit to the GP surgery, ask at reception
to find out more.

You can use an online form to contact your GP practice about a new problem or an ongoing issue wherever and whenever you like using a computer, tablet or smartphone. Your GP can then decide the right care for you – and you might not need to come into the practice. See your GP website for details. Our two-minute animated video has more information. Your NHS number

Your NHS number is a 10 digit number, like 485 777 3456. It
is on any letter you receive from the NHS.
If you don’t know your NHS number you can still make medical
appointments. You don’t need your NHS number to use NHS services, but it can be useful to have it. To find it visit: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/online-services/find-nhs-number/e
